We seek a motivated and hands-on AI Application Engineer to join our team. The primary focus of this role is to work on cutting-edge inference solutions and ensure the stability, performance, and usability of AI solution before it is released to the public. THE PERSON:

You will play a central role collaborating with software engineering, marketing, and competitive analysis teams to optimize and refine our AI products. This is a dynamic and impactful position, offering opportunities for both professional growth and travel after gaining experience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (software engineering, marketing, competitive analysis) to help improve AI inference solutions.
• Ensure stability and usability of AI software, performing rigorous testing and profiling before public release.
• Participate in software & solution analysis and contribute to strategic planning.
• Depending on experience and preference: develop, deploy, and optimize AI applications with a focus on inference efficiency.
• Depending on experience and preference: participate in customer-facing activities or travel to support marketing and outbound activities.
• Occasional travel, up to 15%

PREFERRED EXPERIENCE:

• A team player with good communication skills and willingness to work with cross-functional teams.
• Hands-on experience with AI application development, with a focus on inference solutions.
• Strong coding skills in Python, C++, or similar languages.
• Experience with AI frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
• Understanding of AI models and inference optimization techniques.
• Ability to troubleshoot, profile, and optimize AI applications for performance.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

• Experience with performance profiling tools and techniques for AI applications.
• Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and deployment strategies.
• Experience in competitive analysis of AI products or solutions.
• Willingness to travel for customer engagements or deployment activities after gaining experience.

ACADEMIC CREDENTIALS:

Bachelor’s degree desired; master’s degree preferred.

LOCATION:

San Jose, CA or Santa Clara, CA; open to considering other US markets where AMD has offices, as well as other US remote locations.
